Oyo Police Arrest 10 for Human Parts Trafficking

The Oyo State Police Command has arrested 10 individuals suspected of trafficking in human parts and has recovered various human body parts and charms. The arrests occurred following several months of sustained intelligence gathering and discreet surveillance by the command’s monitoring unit.
According to the command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, the suspects were apprehended at separate hideouts in the Iseyin and Saki areas of Oyo State. During searches of these locations, operatives recovered items including one suspected human heart, human flesh, pieces of human skull, and assorted charms.
These items have been secured for forensic examination and further investigation. The suspects are currently assisting investigators in understanding the source, procurement, and intended use of the recovered items.
The State Commissioner of Police, Mr Abimbola Olugbenga, commended the operatives for their professionalism and assured the public of the command's commitment to eliminating criminal elements and protecting human life.
