Oyo State Launches Digital Land Survey Plan Registry

Oyo State has officially launched the Digital Land Survey Plan Registry (DLSPR) in a ceremony held at the Office of the Surveyor General in Ibadan. This initiative marks a significant step towards modernizing the state's land management system, improving access to survey records and related services.

Akin Funmilayo William, the Commissioner for Land, Housing, and Urban Development, emphasized that the DLSPR is an innovative platform designed to modernize land management and verify spatial analysis of survey plans. Oyo State Surveyor General Adesoji Adeoy explained that the digital registry will provide faster, secure, and reliable services to licensed surveyors, land professionals, investors, government agencies, and the general public.

Governor Seyi Makinde's visionary leadership was commended for leveraging technology to enhance governance and public service delivery. The initiative includes training for 40 personnel to effectively manage the digital registry, supported by a public-private partnership.

Upon successful completion of training, participants will receive temporary employment opportunities.
