Melaye Urges Tinubu to Prepare for 2027 Election Loss

Dino Melaye, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), called on President Bola Tinubu and his family to start packing their belongings from the Presidential Villa in anticipation of the 2027 general elections. Melaye expressed confidence that the ADC would defeat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), attributing this potential victory to the growing dissatisfaction among Nigerians with the Tinubu administration.

He criticized the government for failing to address critical issues such as hunger, insecurity, and alleged corruption. In an interview with Arise TV on Monday, Melaye stated that the ADC's strategy is straightforward, as the populace is ready for a change.

He highlighted the disconnect between the government and the citizens, emphasizing that the hardships faced by Nigerians would be reflected in the election results. Melaye also condemned comments made by Tinubu that suggested election rigging and violence were acceptable in politics, asserting that such statements were inappropriate for a President.
