Bomb Explosion Rocks Bayelsa Secretariat, No Casualties Reported

A bomb explosion occurred at the Bayelsa Secretariat complex in Yenagoa, causing panic among occupants. The incident, which happened at 6:00 am, led to a temporary disruption of official activities.

The Bayelsa State Police Command, led by Commissioner of Police Iyamah, swiftly responded to the situation. Fortunately, there were no casualties or property damage reported.

The security operatives successfully neutralized the explosive device, and investigations are ongoing. As a precautionary measure, the Bayelsa State Government ordered the temporary closure of the secretariat for four hours, affecting around 6,000 state employees.

Normal activities have since resumed after the situation was contained.
