Fire Breaks Out at Plastic Warehouse in Osogbo

On Sunday, a fire engulfed a plastic warehouse located in the Old Garage area of Osogbo, Osun State, around 2 PM. The incident caused significant panic among local residents and traders, particularly those operating nearby.

Modup Olatoy, a petty trader in the vicinity, first noticed smoke billowing from the warehouse and immediately alerted the Osogbo fire station. The Osun State Fire Service, represented by spokesperson Ibrahim Adekunle, deployed five fire trucks to combat the blaze.

Firefighters worked diligently to prevent the fire from spreading to surrounding buildings, especially given the warehouse's proximity to a filling station. As of 2 PM, firefighting efforts were ongoing, and the cause of the fire had yet to be determined.

A full investigation will commence once the fire is completely extinguished, and the extent of the damage remains to be assessed.
