Panic in Kogi as Pastors and Families Abducted by Gunmen

On Wednesday night, around 10 PM, gunmen stormed Odo Eri in the Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State, abducting pastors from the Redeemed Christian Church of God and the Christ Apostolic Church, along with their families. Reports indicate that close to 30 assailants were involved, and approximately 20 individuals were taken during the attack.

The gunmen fled towards Kwara State via Abewo Road. The Kogi State Police, represented by Public Relations Officer Afusat Saliu, confirmed the incident and stated that security operations are underway to rescue the victims and apprehend the perpetrators.

Apostle Olaniyan Adebayo, the chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria in the state, issued a security alert to church members, urging them to take precautionary measures. The Redeemed Christian Church of God declined to comment on the situation when contacted.
