Adeleke Commends Judiciary, Mobilizes for August Elections

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke praised the judiciary as the "last hope" for citizens following a court of appeal ruling that permitted the Accord Party to continue its suit against deregistration. In a statement, Adeleke emphasized the importance of the judiciary in protecting democratic rights and ensuring fair electoral processes.

He called for mobilization in preparation for the August 15 elections, expressing confidence that the Accord Party would secure a significant victory. The court's decision was seen as a protective measure for stakeholders' rights, reinforcing trust in the democratic process.

Adeleke thanked the judiciary for its commitment to justice since 2018, highlighting its role in safeguarding democratic rights against abuses. The court also scheduled a hearing for the appeal on October 27, 2026, regarding the case involving the Accord Party and its leaders.
