Passenger Stabbed to Death After Accident in Borno

On March 7 at approximately 5:30 PM, a minor road accident occurred in Bayo Local Government Area, Borno, involving a golf vehicle with registration number FUG 283 AE, driven by Danjuma Abdullahi Kodom, and a motorcycle ridden by Abdullahi Umar Dadi Kowa. The golf vehicle was transporting five passengers from Biu, Gombe State.

During the incident, the motorcycle attempted to overtake the vehicle, resulting in a collision that caused the motorcycle to fall. Passenger Abubakar Musa sustained minor injuries.

Following the accident, a dispute arose, during which 30-year-old Yahaya Ibrahim allegedly pulled a knife and stabbed 27-year-old Ahm Moham from Tudun Wada, Fantami, Gombe State. Ibrahim also reportedly smashed the front windshield of the vehicle with a heavy stone.

The Division Police Office's patrol team arrived at the scene, where they found the victim in a pool of blood. He was rushed to a cottage hospital but was confirmed dead upon arrival.

The suspect was arrested, and the weapon used in the attack was recovered.
