This situation gained attention after Okpara posted a viral video seeking assistance, stating that the funds were intended for other purposes.

In response, Streams of Joy clarified that they became aware of Okpara's allegation through the circulating video and noted that she had not reached out to them directly prior to making her appeal public. The church emphasized that it has established procedures for handling mistaken transactions and routinely receives reports of erroneous payments, which are resolved through a verification process.
