Wike Avoids Discussing Fubara's Second Term Plans

Umar Sani, a chieftain of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), revealed insights from a private conversation with former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike regarding the political future of current Governor Siminalayi Fubara. During an interview with Symfoni TV, Sani noted that Wike has deliberately chosen not to publicly address whether Fubara will seek a second term.

Wike's stance aims to prevent premature discussions that could lead to unnecessary arguments and divisions within the party, especially as political tensions in the state rise. Sani emphasized that initiating debates about re-election can become sensitive as the party primary process begins, potentially causing confusion among party members.

Wike has expressed that he does not want to be drawn into discussions about Fubara's political future, indicating that the people of Rivers State are closely observing the situation, hoping that political developments do not hinder state progress.
