PDP Convention Dissolves Party Structures in Five States

The PDP convention held in Ibadan saw the dissolution of party structures in Imo, Abia, Enugu, Akwa Ibom, and Rivers states. Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde tabled a motion to address the need for valid and executive congresses nationwide for 2024-2025.

The congress produced officials at various levels, and despite some complaints, the party endorsed the election results. The decision to dismantle structures in the affected states was made public immediately after the motion was passed.
