Iroegbu Accuses INEC of Bias Towards APC in PDP Dispute

Nnamdi Dickson Iroegbu, a representative of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of being an extension of the All Progressives Congress (APC). In an interview, Iroegbu condemned INEC's decision to recognize the outcomes of the recent PDP convention, asserting that it disregarded existing legal disputes within the party.

He argued that the convention itself lacked legal standing and that the electoral body’s actions demonstrate a pattern of bias in handling internal party disputes. Iroegbu warned that if INEC's actions remain unchecked, they could have broader implications for Nigeria's democracy.

He emphasized that the factional challenges within the PDP would continue to be pursued through legal means, highlighting the ongoing internal conflicts within the party.
