PDP Lost Credibility After Abandoning Power Rotation – Arewa Youths

The Arewa Youths Leader group expressed in an interview with Vanguard that the People's Democratic Party (PDP) lost credibility by abandoning power rotation. This statement was made in reaction to the PDP National Executive Committee's decision during its 102nd meeting in Abuja to zone the party's 2027 presidential ticket to the South while retaining the current National Working Committee led by Ambassador Umar Damagum.

The Arewa Youth leader argued that the crisis within the PDP stemmed from its failure to honor the zoning arrangement between the North and South. As a result, many northerners have lost faith in the PDP and have shifted their support to the African Democratic Congress.
