Turaki Maituta Wins PDP Senatorial Candidacy in Zamfara

Turaki Maituta emerged as the Senatorial candidate for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the Zamfara Central senatorial district during the primary election held on Wednesday at the PDP state secretariat in Gusau. The election was supervised by party officials from the PDP national headquarters in Abuja, alongside state party leaders and delegates from four local government areas: Gusau, Tsafe, Maru, and Bungudu.

Maituta received unanimous endorsement from the delegates, which was overseen by a national party delegation led by Alhaji Ibrahim Dogara. In his remarks, Maituta expressed gratitude for the support from party leaders and delegates, emphasizing that the collective decision reflects a desire for unity and effective leadership.

He pledged to work towards delivering effective representation in the National Assembly and to prioritize the needs of the people in Zamfara Central, ensuring grassroots engagement and economic opportunities.
