PENGASSAN Suspends Strike Against Dangote Refinery After Govt Intervention

The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) has suspended its nationwide strike against Dangote Refinery following the Nigerian government's intervention in the dispute over alleged sackings and replacements of union members. PENGASSAN President Festu Osifo announced the decision after a meeting with government officials and representatives of the refinery in Abuja.

Osifo warned that the strike suspension is temporary and will resume if agreements are broken. The union expressed concerns about Dangote Refinery's actions and emphasized the need for respect for rules and engagement within the company.
