Peter Agada Becomes YPP Presidential Candidate for 2027

Peter Agada has been selected as the presidential candidate for the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in the 2027 election, following the party's final substitution primary. Agada, an architect and entrepreneur, previously aspired to the presidency under the Labour Party.

He articulated his reasons for joining the YPP, highlighting its ideology-driven approach and the quality of its leadership, including National Chairman Bishop Amakiri and National Secretary Amb. Dr. Nana Aisha Mahmoud.

Agada stressed the importance of aligning political ideologies, rejecting coalitions lacking ideological compatibility. He presented his governance vision, which includes lean governance, reduced borrowing, and broader economic inclusion.

Agada noted that his political ideology aligns closely with the YPP's philosophy, leading to increased support from various groups. He emphasized the necessity of a political party that prioritizes ideas and values over mere financial considerations, reflecting on his experiences and the broader discourse on Africa's development.
