Presidency Critiques Peter Obi for APM Campaign Office Visit

Daniel Bwala, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, criticized Peter Obi, the Nigeria Democratic Congress presidential candidate, for attending the launch of an Allied Peoples Movement (APM) campaign office in Abuja on Monday. Bwala questioned the political rationale behind Obi's presence at the event, suggesting that it was more about generating political content than advancing his presidential campaign.

He noted the contradiction of a presidential candidate attending a rival's campaign office, implying that Obi's actions were not serious. At the event, Obi called for peaceful political competition and urged politicians to maintain mutual respect despite differing affiliations.

He explained that his attendance aimed to promote a political culture of unity, justice, inclusion, and respect. Bwala expressed his views in a post on X, stating that Obi's actions portrayed him as a "content creator candidate," rather than a serious contender for the presidency.
