Onanuga Labels Peter Obi Clueless and Overrated

Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, publicly criticized Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), describing him as "clueless" and "overhyped." In a statement posted on his 𝕏 account on Saturday, Onanuga asserted that Obi was a failure during his tenure as Governor of Anambra State and questioned his qualifications for the presidency. He claimed that Obi's supporters mistakenly believe he can achieve significant results in governance, stating, "Governance is not by magic." Onanuga accused Obi of frequently changing his positions on policies, likening him to a chameleon and suggesting that his views are overly influenced by social media supporters.

This criticism was made in response to Obi's comments regarding the Tinubu government's fuel subsidy removal and the management of its proceeds.
