Peter Obi Aims for 2027 Presidential Ballot, Says Ahmad

Bashir Ahmad, who served as a media aide to the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, commented on Peter Obi's political ambitions, asserting that Obi intends to appear on the presidential ballot in 2027 and may pursue the same goal in 2031. Ahmad noted that despite Obi's performance in the 2023 elections, where he finished third behind Atiku Abubakar of the People's Democratic Party and Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, he remains determined to ensure his presence on the presidential ballot.

Ahmad emphasized that the circumstances permitting, Obi would make another attempt in 2031, indicating a long-term commitment to his political aspirations.
