Arewa Forum Advocates for Digital Reforms in Governance

On July 31, 2026, the Arewa Forum, led by National President Comrade Auwal Muhammed, issued a statement advocating for the full adoption of digital reforms in Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to enhance governance. The Forum emphasized the need to eliminate manual processes that lead to administrative delays and inefficiencies.

They recognized the significant achievements of Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, in implementing digital innovations aimed at creating a paperless public service.

The Office has introduced initiatives such as the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) System, GovMail, and the 1-GOV Cloud Platform. The Forum stated that these reforms promote transparency, accountability, and efficient record management, which are essential for improving service delivery in various sectors, particularly in Northern Nigeria.

They argued that a fully digitized system would strengthen institutional accountability and public confidence in government institutions.
