New Date Set for NSA Ribadu, Ojukwu's PFIPC Hearing

The House of Representatives Ad-hoc Committee investigating the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC) has set a new date for the appearance of National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu. The hearing, originally scheduled for Thursday, July 23, 2026, was postponed and is now set for Friday, July 24, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the National Assembly complex in Abuja.

The reason for the postponement was not officially disclosed, but it is believed to be related to a prolonged plenary session. The investigation focuses on the PFIPC's questionable existence and its inclusion in the Federal Government’s 2026 budget framework.

Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dunoma Ahmed, previously revealed that the Ministry had not engaged with the PFIPC or its purported Director-General, Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, and had rejected requests from the council due to inconsistencies in documentation.
