Gbajabiamila Threatens N10bn Lawsuit Against Adeyemi

Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to the President, has threatened Adeniyi Adeyemi with a N10 billion lawsuit unless he retracts defamatory statements made during a press conference on June 25, 2026. Gbajabiamila's legal counsel, Kemi Pinheiro of Pinheiro LP, issued a cease and desist letter on July 6, 2026, describing Adeyemi's claims as false, malicious, and reckless, lacking factual foundation.

The allegations included claims of budget fraud and corruption involving Gbajabiamila, which the law firm stated have already been addressed in court. Adeyemi is currently facing trial in the Federal High Court in Abuja for forgery related to presidential appointment documents.

Gbajabiamila demands that Adeyemi cease further defamatory statements and retract his claims across multiple platforms, warning that failure to comply within 72 hours will trigger civil and criminal proceedings.
