Yoruba Group Critiques Gbajabiamila's Defamation Lawsuit

The Yoruba Ronu Leadership Forum, a southwest socio-cultural group, criticized Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to the President, for filing a N10 billion defamation lawsuit against Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, who is linked to the alleged fake agency, the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC). The forum described Gbajabiamila's legal action as a preemptive move intended to hinder an independent investigation into allegations of bribery and kickbacks against him.

They emphasized the importance of uncovering the truth and expressed concern that Gbajabiamila's actions could shield him from scrutiny. The forum stated that Gbajabiamila's legal counsel, Kemi Pinheiro, issued a letter demanding that Adeyemi retract his claims within 72 hours or face civil and criminal proceedings.

The letter, dated July 6, 2026, described Adeyemi's allegations as false and malicious. The Yoruba Ronu Leadership Forum urged Gbajabiamila to resign, asserting that his actions could tarnish the Yoruba race's reputation.
