Atiku Abubakar Supports ADC Candidate in Osun Campaign

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar arrived in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, with a delegation of political associates to support Dr Najeem Folasayo Salaam, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate, ahead of the governorship election scheduled for Saturday, August 15. Atiku announced his arrival via a post on X, stating his purpose was to participate in the ADC's grand finale campaign rally and rally support for Salaam.

He emphasized the delegation's mission to appeal to voters to entrust the ADC with the responsibility of delivering purposeful leadership and good governance. The upcoming election features incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party seeking re-election against APC candidate Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji and ADC's Salaam, among others.

The Independent National Electoral Commission has confirmed its readiness for the election, and security agencies are enhancing preparations to ensure a peaceful electoral process.
