Nollywood Actor J Momodu Enlists in US Army

Nollywood actor J Momodu announced his enlistment in the US Army, sharing his journey on Instagram. He completed basic combat training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, and is now a specialist in the 1st Platoon, Charlie Company, 3rd Battalion, 10th Infantry Regiment.

Momodu dedicated his military achievement to his late father, who served in the Nigerian Police Force, and he aims to honor his father's legacy, which he described as a significant milestone in fulfilling a personal dream. He expressed gratitude for the support he received throughout the process, including from the US Army Recruit Station in Burbank, California.

Momodu's training lasted ten weeks, during which he learned to find comfort in discomfort, demonstrating resilience and determination. He also reflected on the emotional demands of the training and the importance of pushing beyond limits.

His enlistment date is set to honor the memory of his father, who passed away twenty years ago on April 12, 2006.
