Obi Advocates for Stronger Nigeria-Switzerland Ties

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress and former Governor of Anambra State, met with the Swiss Ambassador to Nigeria, Patrick Egloff, to advocate for stronger development partnerships between Nigeria and Switzerland. This meeting took place on a Wednesday, as reported in a post on X.

Obi described the engagement as productive, focusing on Nigeria's developmental journey with particular emphasis on education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation as critical sectors for national growth. He expressed gratitude for Switzerland's invaluable contributions to Nigeria's development, especially in the North-East region, highlighting the Swiss Confederation's support for various economic, cultural, humanitarian, and peace-building initiatives.
