Oluremi Tinubu Receives Chieftaincy Title in Imo State

On Wednesday, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of Nigeria, was honored with the traditional title of Oso Di Eme I of Imo State. This title, which translates to "She who supports her husband," was announced by her Senior Special Adviser on Media, Busola Kukoyi.

Kukoyi praised the First Lady's contributions to the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that she is a "worthy partner" in his governance. The ceremony featured the First Lady in vibrant traditional attire adorned with APC party symbols and Nigerian flag motifs, complemented by a distinctive red headwrap and coral beads.

She held a ceremonial fan inscribed with "OSO DI EME" and a white horsetail flywhisk. This honor was bestowed upon her during her recent visit to Imo State, where she was welcomed by traditional rulers.

Additionally, it follows her earlier recognition in June 2026 with the Enugu title, "Jewel of Empowerment," for her advocacy in women's empowerment and social development across Nigeria.
