Plateau Assembly Passes N914.86 Billion 2026 Budget Presented by Governor Mutfwang

The Plateau State Assembly has passed the 2026 budget totaling N914.86 billion, presented by Governor Caleb Mutfwang. The budget breakdown includes N573.4 billion for capital expenditure and N341.4 billion for recurrent expenditure.

The House Committee on Appropriation, chaired by Hon. Adamu Aliyu, reviewed and scrutinized the estimates from various ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs), recommending a total estimate of N817.5 billion for approval.

The budget was passed after thorough deliberations and scrutiny, ensuring credibility and realism. The House adjourned for the festive period and will reconvene on February 2, 2026.
