IGP Disu Orders Assessment After Kawel Community Attack

Following a tragic attack in Kawel community, Bokko Local Government Area, Plateau State, Inspector General of Police Olatunji Disu has deployed Assistant Inspector General of Police Dankombo Morri to assess the situation. The assessment aims to implement necessary measures to restore peace and prevent further occurrences.

During a meeting with local leadership, including Bokko Local Government Area Executive Chairman Amalau Samuel, Disu's swift response was appreciated. Samuel described the attack as a tragic and unfortunate act of pure criminality.

He noted that victims had already been buried the previous day and appealed for additional security personnel to support ongoing efforts by police and security agencies in the area. Hajara Yunana, representing the Women Political Initiative of Plateau State, expressed concerns about the challenges faced by women in Bokko following the incident and urged the Inspector General to leverage modern policing technology to enhance security in vulnerable communities.
