IGP Disu Deploys AIG Morri to Plateau After Attacks

Following a deadly attack in Kawel Community, Musher District, Bokko Local Government Area, Plateau State, which resulted in the loss of at least 20 lives, Inspector General of Police Olatunji Disu deployed Assistant Inspector General Dankombo Morri to the area. This deployment, approved by the IGP, includes additional police personnel and operational assets such as mobile force units and tactical teams to reinforce security presence.

AIG Morri, accompanied by members of the Plateau State Police Command management team, visited Bokko on Tuesday to assess the situation and engage with local government leadership and traditional rulers. During the meeting, Bokko Local Government Chairman Amalau Samuel expressed gratitude for the swift police response and described the attack as a tragic and criminal act.

Hajara Yunana, representing the Women Political Initiative in Plateau State, voiced concerns regarding the safety of women in the area and urged the police to leverage modern technology to enhance security. The IGP conveyed condolences to the victims' families and called for community support for ongoing peace efforts.
