IGP Disu Reinforces Security in Bokkos, Plateau State

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Olatunji Disu, has ordered the reinforcement of security assets in Bokkos Local Government Area, Plateau State, due to recent attacks in the area. AIG Dankombo Morri, who heads Zone 4 at the Nigeria Police Force in Makurdi, has been deployed to assist in assessing the security situation.

The IGP directed the Deputy Inspector General of Police to relocate to the area to coordinate ongoing operations against terrorist, bandit, and kidnapping activities threatening communities across the country. During his visit to the Akawel community in the Mushere district of Bokkos, AIG Morri engaged with community leaders and traditional rulers to assess the security situation and strengthen efforts to restore peace.

He conveyed condolences from the IGP to the families affected by the attacks and assured residents of the Nigeria Police Force's commitment to bringing perpetrators to justice. AIG Morri also emphasized the need for residents to remain law-abiding and refrain from actions that could undermine ongoing peace and security initiatives.
