Fulani Christians in Nigeria Deny Ties to Miyetti Allah

The Fulani Christians in Nigeria, represented by Rev. Buba Aliyu, the Chairman of the Fulani Christian Association of Nigeria (FCAN), have publicly denied any links to the Miyetti Allah and MACBAN organizations.

This clarification comes in light of recent classifications of these groups as terrorist organizations. During a symposium in Miango, Bassa Local Government Area, Plateau State, Rev.

Aliyu emphasized that Fulani Christians are distinct from these groups and do not support violence or banditry. He stated that the Fulani Christian community in Nigeria promotes peace and respect for human life, and they do not condone the actions of individuals or organizations that engage in violence.

Rev. Aliyu also mentioned that he has received threats related to his work among Fulani Christians and urged Nigerians to differentiate between criminal elements and ordinary citizens of the Fulani ethnic background.
