Plateau Governor Mutfwang Apologizes to Igbo Community

On a recent occasion, Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang issued an apology to the Igbo community regarding the state's involvement in the Nigerian Civil War. This apology was made during an interaction session with Igbo leaders from the 17 local government areas at the Government House in Little Rayfield.

Mutfwang emphasized the need to move past the painful chapter of the civil war to strengthen bonds and unity among the diverse ethnic groups in Plateau State. He acknowledged the contributions of the Igbo community to the socio-economic development of the state and described them as integral to its growth and prosperity.

Mutfwang called on Igbo entrepreneurs to support local businesses and create opportunities for the youth. Additionally, he received endorsements from Igbo leaders, including Chief Chidi Onah and former President General Mike Okunonk, for his second term ahead of the 2027 governorship election, citing his inclusive leadership and commitment to peace and development.
