Plateau State Government Enforces Curfew in Three LGAs

The Plateau State Government has declared an immediate dusk-to-dawn curfew across Barkin Ladi, Bokkos, and Mangu Local Government Areas, effective from September 21, 2026. The curfew, which restricts movement between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM, aims to maintain public order and curb emerging security threats.

Rt. Hon Joyce Ramnap, the State Commissioner of Information and Communication, announced the decision in a statement issued in Jos.

His Excellency, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, leads the administration that has implemented these measures to enable law enforcement agencies to stabilize the area and protect lives. Residents are advised to plan their activities around the curfew hours to avoid hardship.

The statement also noted that security operatives have been directed to enforce the curfew and a ban on motorcycle use throughout the affected areas, assuring law-abiding citizens of professional conduct from security personnel.
