Plateau Lawmaker Adamu Aliyu Denies Resigning from APC

Hon. Adamu Aliyu, the member representing Jos North-North in the Plateau State House of Assembly, has refuted claims that he resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Addressing journalists on Tuesday in Jos, he labeled the rumors as false and the work of political mischief-makers. Aliyu confirmed that he is a registered and card-carrying member of the APC in Naraguta B Ward, emphasizing his loyalty to the party under which he was elected in the 2023 general elections.

He stated that no formal process for resignation had been initiated by him, as party membership changes must follow established procedures. Aliyu acknowledged disputes arising from the recent APC primaries in his constituency, attributing them to aspirants who did not secure the party's mandate.

He expressed his commitment to pursuing lawful channels to protect and uphold the mandate given to him by the people.
