Plateau Lawmaker Adamu Aliyu Denies Resignation Rumors

Hon. Adamu Aliyu, the lawmaker representing Jos North Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly, held a press conference in Jos on Tuesday to refute rumors regarding his resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He labeled these claims as false and the work of "mischief makers." Aliyu emphasized that he remains a bona fide member of the APC, the party under which he was elected in the 2023 general elections. He stated that the rumors were intended to destabilize the party within the local government.

Aliyu confirmed his status as a registered member of the APC at the ward level, specifically in Naraguta B. He also addressed grievances related to recent party primaries in his constituency, suggesting that discontented aspirants were behind the rumors.

Aliyu pledged to pursue lawful means to protect the mandate given to him by his constituents and asserted that his achievements in office had drawn opposition from within the party.
