IPOB Lawyer Calls for Safe Zone for Christians in Nigeria

Aloi Ejimakor, the legal consultant leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has demanded the creation of a 'sovereign safe zone' for Christians in Nigeria in response to recent massacres in Plateau State. Ejimakor's call follows reports of ongoing attacks against Christians, particularly highlighting the urgency of establishing a permanent solution to the violence and insecurity affecting the community.

He described the situation as a "carnage" and emphasized the need for international leaders to intervene, urging them to compel the Nigerian government to release Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB, from detention. Ejimakor's proposal aligns with previous advocacy from the Biafran group, which has long suggested that the federal government should consider alternatives to the current approach to addressing the violence.

He stated that the plight of Christians in Nigeria has reached a critical point, necessitating immediate action to prevent further loss of life.
