Platform Petroleum Launches ICT Hub in Rivers State

On April 8, 2026, Platform Petroleum inaugurated the O.B. Lulu-Briggs ICT Centre in Akuku-Toru Local Government Area, Rivers State.

This initiative, led by Chairman Dumo Lulu-Briggs, aims to expand access to digital infrastructure and empower youth in the Niger Delta region. The center is equipped with 280 network computers designed to serve as a major hub for computer-based testing and digital learning, catering to residents of Akuku-Toru, Asari-Toru, and Degema LGAs.

The project responds to the growing demand for digital skills in a rapidly evolving global economy. Lulu-Briggs emphasized the importance of equipping young people to actively participate in a world increasingly driven by artificial intelligence and automation technologies.

The center, named in honor of his father, Olu Benson Lulu-Briggs, is part of the company's corporate social responsibility efforts to foster innovation and economic growth. The event included dignitaries such as Vice Chairman Ojunekwu Augustin Avuru and religious leaders, highlighting the community's support for this initiative.
