Three Suspects Arraigned for Murder of Ex-OGTV Broadcaster

Three suspects have been arrested and are set to be arraigned in a magistrate court in Abeokuta on July 6, 2026, in connection with the murder of former Ogun State Television broadcaster Kitan Oyesiku and security guard Pelumi Adetayo. The Ogun State Police Command confirmed the arrests, which followed an investigation initiated after suspicious activities were reported by residents.

Oyesiku's body was discovered at her residence, while Adetayo's body was found at a security post. The investigation led to the recovery of a stolen Lexus RX330 vehicle, which was linked to the crime.

The prime suspect, Sodeind Olajuwon Philip, 22, was arrested on June 24 at a construction site in Ibara, Abeokuta. Further inquiries resulted in the arrests of two additional suspects, Sakirudeen Abdulraheem Ayoola, 27, and Obafunsho, 36.

The suspects allegedly confessed to coordinating the attack on Oyesiku, claiming it was intended to teach her a lesson. The Ogun State Police Command assured that all suspects would be entitled to due process as investigations continue.
