Ondo Police Arrest 10 Suspected Criminals in Major Bust

The Ondo State Police Command arrested ten individuals involved in criminal activities, including armed robbery and violence. The operation, led by Police Commissioner Felix Ohagwu, was based on credible intelligence and took place following a report made on June 14, 2026, regarding an armed robbery case in Iju, Akure North Local Government Area.

The suspects, including Daniel Promis (34), Ifeanyi Umahi (29), and Adaramoy Abayomi (37), were intercepted while traveling in a Mercedes Benz ML 350 SUV. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were part of a notorious armed robbery syndicate under police surveillance.

During interrogations, they confessed to their involvement in various violent robberies across Ondo State. Additionally, seven suspects were arrested following a deadly confrontation related to a land dispute in Kajola, Odigbo Local Government Area, on July 18, 2026.

Weapons recovered included a gun, charms, cutlasses, and acid.
