Police Arrest Two Suspected Kidnappers in Ondo State

The Ondo State Police Command arrested two suspected kidnappers, Adamu Rabiu and Haruna Likita, as part of coordinated operations by the Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Squad. Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, reported that Rabiu was tracked to Ibadan, Oyo State, where he was apprehended with assistance from the Oyo State Police Command.

Likita was arrested in Ipele, near Owo, Ondo State, in connection with the same kidnapping incident. Both suspects made confessional statements during interrogation, linking them to the abduction of a victim.

Jimoh stated that the confessions and other intelligence are under thorough investigation to uncover the full circumstances of the incident and identify other accomplices. The police are intensifying efforts to dismantle the broader kidnapping network.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Felix Ohagwu, praised the Anti-Kidnapping Squad for their professionalism and reiterated the Command’s commitment to combating kidnapping and ensuring public safety in Ondo State.
