Police Arrest 150 Suspects in Lagos Dumpsite Raid

On Sunday, during the early hours, the Lagos State Police Command arrested 150 suspects in a raid on a dumpsite located in the Boolar area of Okofil, Igando. The operation was led by the division crime officer and involved a joint team from different police formations, following credible intelligence about hoodlums using the dumpsite as a hideout to launch robbery attacks on residents.

The raid resulted in the recovery of firearms, including six generators, 54 mobile phones, and substances suspected to be illegal drugs. Abimbola Adebisi, a police spokesperson, confirmed the arrests and stated that the suspects were transferred to the task force office in Oshodi for further investigation and possible prosecution.

Residents, including a community leader named Priscilla, expressed concerns about the increasing criminal activities in the area, prompting police action after reports of attacks on passersby.
