Police Arrest 150, Seize 100 Motorcycles in Lagos Crackdown

The Lagos State Police Command conducted a significant security operation resulting in the arrest of 150 suspects and the recovery of 100 unregistered motorcycles and various firearms. The operation, which took place on a Sunday, was aimed at flushing out criminal elements from identified hideouts in areas such as Igando and Midimu.

The operation was coordinated by Sp Adebisi Abimbola, the spokesperson for the command, and involved a joint team drawn from different units of the Lagos State Police Command. Items recovered during the operation included 54 mobile phones, a double-barrel gun, two single-barrel guns, a locally made double-barrel short gun, military camouflage uniforms, assorted charms, and various quantities of illicit drugs, including suspected Indian hemp.

The suspects are currently in police custody, and investigations are ongoing to determine their involvement in criminal activities. CP Tijani Fatai reaffirmed the command's commitment to sustaining ongoing operations across the state.
