Lagos Police Arrest 150, Seize 100 Motorcycles and Firearms

The Lagos State Police Command, under the leadership of Tijani Fatai, conducted a significant security operation that resulted in the arrest of 150 suspects and the recovery of 100 unregistered motorcycles and various firearms. The operation, which took place on a Sunday, was coordinated by spokesperson Adebisi Abimbola and targeted known criminal hideouts in areas such as Igando and Midimu.

The police acted on credible intelligence, conducting raids that began at 5:45 AM. Items recovered during the operation included 54 mobile phones, two single-barrel guns, one double-barrel gun, a locally made double-barrel short gun, military camouflage uniforms, assorted charms, and various quantities of illicit drugs, including Indian hemp.

The suspects are currently in police custody as investigations continue to determine their involvement in criminal activities. The police command has reaffirmed its commitment to ongoing operations aimed at denying criminals safe havens and improving public safety across Lagos State.
