Lagos Police Arrest 150, Seize 100 Motorcycles, Firearms

On Sunday, the Lagos State Police Command conducted a coordinated raid in the Igando and Idimu areas, resulting in the arrest of 150 suspects and the recovery of 100 unregistered motorcycles, firearms, and other illicit items. The operation commenced at 5:45 AM following credible intelligence and involved a joint team from various units of the Lagos State Police Command.

SP Abimbola Adebisi disclosed that the operation targeted identified criminal hideouts known as black spots. The recovered items included 54 mobile phones, a double-barrel gun, two single-barrel guns, a locally made double-barrel short gun, military camouflage uniforms, assorted charms, and suspected illicit drugs such as Indian hemp.

CP Tijani Fatai commended the professionalism of the operation and reaffirmed the command's commitment to ongoing anti-crime efforts. The police urged the public to support their initiatives by providing credible information to enhance community safety.
