Edo Police Arrest Four Cultists, Recover Firearms
The Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the Edo State Police Command, in collaboration with personnel from the Government House Task Force, arrested four suspected cultists on credible intelligence. The operation took place at Egbaen Community, off Ekenhuan Road, Benin City.
The State Commissioner of Police, Patrick Daaor, identified the suspects as Nuka Joseph (27), Osatohamwen Ogor (30), John Osewengie (30), and Osezee Osayi (29). During the operation, law enforcement recovered four locally fabricated pistols, one locally made Beretta pistol, and one cut-to-size double-barrel gun.
The suspects confessed to being members of the Aiye Confraternity Cult. Daaor stated that efforts are ongoing to apprehend additional members of the syndicate.
