Delta Police Arrest Four for Counterfeit Dollar Bills

On June 9, 2026, the Delta State Police Command arrested four suspects identified as Joshua Nwaosa, Daniel Arhew, Princ Chukwuma, and John Egwuba for their involvement in a syndicate using counterfeit $1,600 bills. The operation was initiated by the special anti-kidnap unit following credible intelligence.

The suspects were apprehended along Nnebisi Road in Asaba, where they confessed to their activities. The police recovered the counterfeit bills concealed within a military camouflage at their hideout.

Additionally, on June 11, 2026, two female suspects, Ifeoma Egbul and Anayeokwu Florence, were arrested in Ika North East Local Government Area for possessing illicit substances, indicating a broader investigation into drug distribution networks. Delta State Police Commissioner Yemi Oyeniyi commended the operations for their professionalism and commitment to dismantling criminal networks in the state.
