Ghanaian Landlord Arrested for Removing Tenant's Roof in Rivers State

The Rivers State Police Command arrested Samuel Frimpong, a Ghanaian national, for removing the roof of his tenant, Anozi Tochukwu's apartment in Mgbuoba, Obio Akpor Local Government Area. Tochukwu had failed to vacate the property after the lease expired, leading Frimpong to take drastic action.

Legal practitioners and human rights organizations condemned Frimpong's actions, citing them as a breach of the law and a violation of the tenant's rights. Raymond Okocha from Justice International described the incident as a grave injustice and called for justice to be served through legal means.

Frimpong's arrest was confirmed by Grace Iring Koko, a Chief Superintendent of Police, with ongoing investigations into the matter.
