Ghanaian National Arrested for De-Roofing Tenant's House in Nigeria

The Rivers State Police Command in Nigeria arrested Samuel Frimpong, a Ghanaian national, for reportedly de-roofing the residence of his tenant, Anozi Tochukwu, in Mgbuoba, Obio Akpor Local Government Area. Tochukwu had received notice to vacate the property due to renovation plans but was surprised when Frimpong removed the roof, causing damage during heavy rain.

Legal practitioner Raymond Okocha condemned the incident as a violation of due process, emphasizing that landlords cannot take the law into their own hands without following proper eviction procedures. The police confirmed Frimpong's arrest and stated that investigations are ongoing.
