On a Tuesday, the Ogun State Police Command reported the arrest of a 22-year-old woman named Azeez Khadijat in connection with a stolen Suzuki mini bus. The vehicle, which had been illegally repainted from its original yellow to white and blue, was detected by police intelligence.

The incident occurred around 4 PM when officers received information about three individuals, including a woman, sighted along Ikhasi Road, Kajola, near Omu. Although the suspects fled in different directions, Khadijat was apprehended inside the abandoned vehicle.

The vehicle bore a Lagos State registration plate and was recovered at a security station. A search of the scene also led to the recovery of three mobile phones, a power bank, sandpaper, and a Type C charging cord.

Preliminary investigations indicated that the mini bus was allegedly used for criminal activities in Lagos State. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Eleweran, Abeokuta, for further investigation and prosecution.

DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi commended the swift response of the police and urged the public to remain vigilant.
